Form 888 - Complete this form if you are 18 years or older and you are a supporting witness in relation to a Partner or Prospective Marriage visa application with the Department of Home Affairs.
Purpose
This form allows a person who knows the visa applicant and their partner or fiance(e) to provide a statement supporting a Partner or Prospective Marriage visa application. The Department uses such statements, among other evidence, to assess the social aspects of the claimed relationship.

A witness (a third party) who knows the couple and the history of their relationship and is at least 18 years of age.
When it is used
Used to accompany a Partner or Prospective Marriage visa application, where up to several supporting statements may be requested during processing to help establish the genuineness of the relationship.
