Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to read about Australian visas and use YourVisaSite, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification or voice control.
How the site is built
- We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 as our reference.
- Pages use headings, labelled form fields and landmarks, and every page starts with a link to skip to the main content.
- Pages are built to be used with a keyboard and to reflow when zoomed.
- Text colours are checked automatically for contrast in both the light and the dark theme.
Known gaps
- Official forms and some documents are PDF files published by the Department of Home Affairs. We link to them as they are, and they may be harder to use with assistive technology.
- Some long reference tables are easier to search than to read with a screen reader. Most have a search box to find one entry.
Tell us about a barrier
If something on YourVisaSite is hard to use, email admin@yourvisasite.com or send feedback. Tell us the page address, what you were trying to do and any assistive technology you use. If you need information from a page in another format, ask us.
To raise a concern about our response, see how to make a complaint.
