Chrome extension for invited practitioners
Saved facts beside ImmiAccount, reviewed by you.
The YourVisaSite Practitioner Companion is a Chrome side panel that puts a matter's reviewed facts next to an ImmiAccount draft so you can copy or fill them one page at a time, with your own eyes on every value. It is independent of the Department of Home Affairs and never touches your ImmiAccount login.
What it does
One page at a time, under your review
- Shows the saved facts of the matter and person you selected in YourVisaSite in a Chrome side panel beside the ImmiAccount page you are working on, each with a link back to its source record and to the matter's documents.
- Copies one value to your clipboard when you choose it, and fills only the blank fields you selected on the current page after you confirm them. An existing different value is never overwritten.
- Recognises the reviewed pages of the Partner (820/801) application automatically once you have allowed reading on online.immi.gov.au: terms, application context, primary applicant, contact details, sponsor, sponsor's contact details and a family member row. Every other page pauses.
- Checks your beta access, the person record version and the exact values with YourVisaSite before every copy or fill, and refreshes the saved facts while you work so you never re-enter a matter just because five minutes passed.
- Keeps a record of what was copied or filled (field names and results only, never values) and delivers it to your YourVisaSite audit record, even if the connection closed first.
Boundaries
What it never does
These are enforced by the packaged code and by YourVisaSite, not by policy alone.
- It has no login of its own, never sees or stores your ImmiAccount credentials, MFA codes or session, and never sends a government page's answers to YourVisaSite.
- It never submits, lodges, declares, pays or accepts terms on your behalf, and it stops on any login, declaration, review, submission or payment page.
- It never guesses a field: a control it has not been reviewed for is shown as unmatched, a repeated history row pauses, and a saved value longer than the field allows is copy-only.
- It calls no external AI service, runs no remote code and holds no client data on disk. The one thing it keeps on your device is the value-free delivery queue described in the privacy notice.
- It works only for the person you selected: a page for the sponsor offers nothing while a primary applicant is selected, and the other way round.
How to ask for access
Three steps, all reversible
- Be a YourVisaSite practitioner: request beta access and complete the registration check if you have not already.
- Ask for an extension invitation through contact or support, saying whether you need copy only or reviewed autofill. An Admin grants an expiring invitation from the admin console; nothing is granted automatically.
- Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store link you receive, open its side panel and choose Connect account. Your invitation, the matter and the person are checked in YourVisaSite before anything appears in the panel. Withdraw Chrome's site permission or ask an Admin to revoke the invitation at any time.
