Before you start

  1. Skills assessment

A positive assessment from the assessing authority for your occupation — usually the longest-lead item.

  2. English test

A valid test result at the level you are claiming points for.

  3. Points self-check

Tally your claimable points against the published table — every claim must be evidenced later.

Documents commonly requested

  1. Identity documents

Passports and birth certificates for everyone included.

  2. Employment evidence

References, payslips and contracts supporting every employment points claim.

  3. Police certificates

From every country you have lived in for the published threshold period — typically valid 12 months.

Lodging the application

  1. EOI, invitation, then lodge

Lodge only after a SkillSelect invitation, within the invitation window, in your own ImmiAccount.

After lodging

  1. Health examinations

Book panel physician examinations when requested.
