Purpose
This is the departmental application form for citizenship by conferral used by people who meet the general eligibility criteria. It guides applicants through eligibility, the residence requirement, document certification, the citizenship test, payment and lodgement.
Who lodges it
The person applying for citizenship; a responsible parent may include children under 16 on their application or sign for a child applying in their own right.
When it is used
Used by permanent residents aged 18 or over and under 60 who satisfy the residence and good-character requirements, with special provisions noted for certain New Zealand citizens and members of a defence person's family.
