Form 1282 - Complete this form to confirm as a temporary visa applicant that you have read, or had explained to you, the information provided by the Australian Government on Australian society and values.
Purpose
This form provides the written Australian Values Statement that certain temporary visa applicants complete to confirm they understand and will uphold the shared values of Australian society and obey Australian law. It supplements a visa application when the applicant has not already made the same declaration on the main application form.

Who lodges it
The temporary visa applicant, together with each accompanying person aged 18 or over included in the application who is directed to complete it.
When it is used
Used only when a temporary visa applicant is specifically advised on their visa application form to complete a values statement and has not already signed one on that application.
