Purpose
This form sets out the shared values of Australian society and contains a signed statement in which the signatory confirms they understand those values and undertake to conduct themselves accordingly and to obey Australian law during their stay.
Who lodges it
The applicant (main visa applicant), and each person aged 18 or over included in the visa application who has not already signed an equivalent statement on the visa application form.
When it is used
It is used as part of a visa application when the applicant and included adults are required to confirm their understanding of and commitment to Australian values before a visa to live in Australia is granted.
