Form 1149 - Complete this form to sponsor a Visitor visa (subclass 600) applicant in the Sponsored Family stream, or if you have been requested by the Department to be a sponsor for a Visitor visa (subclass 600) applicant in the Tourist stream.
Purpose
This form is used to apply to become a sponsor for an applicant for a Visitor visa (subclass 600) in the Sponsored Family stream, and to record the sponsor's formal undertaking of responsibility.

Who lodges it
The proposed sponsor, who must be a settled Australian citizen or permanent resident aged 18 or over and, in most cases, a relative of the visitor (or another eligible person such as a parliamentarian or government representative).
