Privacy Notice (Turkish)

What it is for

This is the Turkish-language version of the Department of Home Affairs privacy notice. It is an information document explaining how the Department collects, uses and discloses personal and sensitive information under the Privacy Act 1988, and how individuals can access, correct or complain about the handling of their information.

Who completes it

No party lodges it; it is a translated notice provided to Turkish-speaking individuals for their understanding and is read alongside the equivalent English privacy material.

Information it collects (in general terms)

It does not gather information. It describes, in Turkish, the categories of personal, sensitive, health and biometric information the Department may collect, the sources it may collect from, and the legal framework governing that collection.

When it is used

Used to help Turkish-speaking individuals understand the Department's privacy practices when they provide personal information or complete departmental forms.
