Paused from 1 July 2025 pending allocation, restarted with interim rounds in late 2025 and full rounds from December 2025.
Published nomination requirements
As published by the program for 2025–26, in addition to the Department of Home Affairs criteria for each visa subclass.
- Occupation on WASMOL Schedule 1, WASMOL Schedule 2, or the Graduate occupation list (General and Graduate streams).
- Under 45 years of age, at least 65 points, and a skills assessment for the nominated occupation.
- Minimum Competent English; passport holders of the UK, Ireland, Canada, New Zealand and the USA are exempt from English testing.
- Building and construction trade occupations receive priority invitations and do not require an employment contract.
- Decision-ready applications are processed in around 28 working days (as published by Migration WA).
