Published nomination requirements
As published by the program for 2025–26, in addition to the Department of Home Affairs criteria for each visa subclass.
- Occupation on South Australia's Skilled Occupation List (around 395 occupations across 21 industry groups in 2025–26; roughly 305 were eligible for subclass 190, all for subclass 491).
- An active EOI in SkillSelect with South Australia selected, under 45 years of age, Competent English, a valid skills assessment, and at least 65 points.
- Onshore streams: skilled employment in SA, SA graduates, and outer-regional skilled employment.
- Offshore stream: generally three years of skilled employment in the previous five (one year in the previous three for certain construction trades).
- Nomination application fee of AUD 381 (2025–26).
