Subclass 190 applications closed once all nomination places were allocated; subclass 491 Pathways 1 and 3 also reached allocation.
Published nomination requirements
As published by the program for 2025–26, in addition to the Department of Home Affairs criteria for each visa subclass.
- A valid Expression of Interest in SkillSelect with NSW selected.
- Under 45 years of age at nomination.
- At least Competent English.
- A valid skills assessment for an occupation in a listed ANZSCO unit group (the NSW lists are published at unit-group level; not every occupation in a unit group is eligible for each visa).
- Subclass 491 has three pathways; Pathway 1 applies to people employed by a regional NSW employer.
- NSW invitations to apply are valid for 14 days.
